Living in the Sahara Desert, Morocco

Erg Chebbi (Arabic: عرق الشبي‎) is really a sea of sand – lots of intensely red and orange sand that reminded me of the sand dunes of Star Wars. To the east you will find nomads living in the desert ruins of an old ghost town, next to an eerie, half buried cemetery. Hidden in the dunes are a few camp sites, which you can reach by camel or by jeep, if that is more your style. After arriving on camel at one of these camps, the sand-free tents feel like pure luxury. However, it is the sand itself that i found fascinating. See and feel for yourself.
