Night Plane over Detroit

Who hasn’t sat at the window of an airliner at night, staring into the distance, lost in thoughts, wondering what you might see? Well, here you see a close encounter of a 747 heading directly towards you.

This particular image is actually a composite of 14 serial aerial views of Detroit at night that I took while my plane circled a while before landing, and also of a few wide angle images of a 747 ready to take off. The final image is rather large, as it has 23749 x 7248 pixels, and it creates lots of room for imagination. Do you like it?
